Are you surrounded by mountains, mountains of difficulty? You literally don’t know which way to turn. Every way you look great high mountains, insurmountable difficulties, they have built up and got worse as the years have gone by. Do you feel trapped with no way of escape? Let me tell you, Jesus is the answer. The Bible has this beautiful love story where the lover comes leaping over the mountains. It’s a picture of Jesus coming skipping, dancing, running, leaping over the problems in our lives. You see nothing is too difficult for God. Massive mountains, massive problems, but with God everything changes because He is the God who answers prayer. Whatever your problem, whatever your heartache, see that Jesus rides majestically over all and wants to bring you through. Trust him. |

There is a lovely phrase in the Song of Solomon “I am black but comely.” It speaks of a woman and her lover. She is black, and the analogy for us is that we too are black, weathered by the trials and problems of life. She was ruined by sin. Sin had taken its toll on her. That is just like you and me. Our lives wrecked, ruined by the wrongs we have done. But, when we know our lover Jesus, he takes the ruined life and changes it. Though Christians are sinners, we are saved by grace. I am black but comely, black but elegant, a sinner but saved. Your life has been marred by things that have gone before. But the grace of God can change you right now. Trust in Jesus to forgive you |
