Nearly half way through the year already, it seems like no time since Christmas. They say the older you get the quicker time seems to go...hmmm at this rate it feels like I'm around 100. I was chatting to someone the other day (my boss) and we were talking about knowing what God has called you to do and then florishing in it. I think sometimes we can struggle with trying to hear God to lead us into a new place when we should be really enjoying and growing where we are. When you are in the place God called you to be there is real peace, contentment, joy...even though it can be scary at times too. I pray you will know where God wants you to be and you will run in everything He has for you. Have a really great weekend, take time to relax, chill out, enjoy time with friends and family. Blessings Anne |

Hello I hope you all enjoyed your Bank Holiday weekend, the weather was just gorgeous, on Sunday afternoon, Fred (my husband) and I came to UCB to put up our new tent we bought at the end of the camping season in 2007, we didn't get to use it at all last year because of the weather, so we came to UCB and the big field at the back to see how easy it was to put up, as this year we are hoping for a really good summer so it only took us around an hour to put the tent up, it looked good and now we just need a good weekend to go and try it out. We are hoping to head to the Lake District for a few days next month. There is just something about being outdoors that men seem to want to cook and my husband is no exception, lol. Camping is not my favourite thing to do...oh I like my comforts, but to have my husband cook for a whole weekend means camping suddenly looks better yup summer is certainly on the way. Would love your company each weekday morning 6-10am on UCB Inspirational, do join me. Anne |

I had a few days off last week and went to Scotland. My son Brian gets married in April, so Fred (my husband) had to go for a kilt fitting on Saturday and then we went to the Hotel where the wedding is going to be, lovely, in Prestwick. For photos they have a garden which is lovely, there is also a wee white gate at the top of the garden that leads onto the beach so if it's a nice day they can have some lovely photos taken on the beach. Fred and I also love the sea, I just love to see the white horses in the waves when it's rough, always makes me feel relaxed and very peaceful, I love walking next to the sea and praying, it reminds me of the earth God has created. Driving back on Sunday afternoon it was so nice to see lots of daffodils, crocus and snowdrops at various points down the motorway, good to see some nice Spring colours beginning to come through. Do join me every morning for breakfast on UCB Inspirational, starting off at 6am with prayer and worship music as well as starting our day by praying together. The good music continues all the way through breakfast, we'll have loads to chat about and a question of the day to get you thinking. See you in the morning |

My husband and I went for a drive at the weekend and it was great to see all the snowdrops blooming. There was one house that had so many snowdrops it looked like a white carpet going from the gate to the front door, it was so beautiful. Spring is on the way, a lot of us love spring as we think of lighter nights, sunshine and know summer is on the way. When I think of my relationship with God I can learn so much from the snowdrop. There has been some frost and cold weather over the last few weeks and yet it still broke through the hard ground and is now flowering. There are hard times in my life too but when I put my trust in God it enables me to push through anything, still flowering as the Son (Jesus) shines in my life It's amazing how we can look at every season and learn so much from it. I'm on holiday now for the rest of the week, going to Scotland to spend a few days with my family. Fred (my husband) has a fitting for a kilt he is wearing in April as our son Brian gets married. I have never seen Fred in a kilt so I have my camera to hand Speak to you soon Blessings Anne |
