I got well and truly soaked cycling home from work last night - and after several weeks of sun, blue skies and not a drop of drizzle, it begs the question, is the summer over for the Midlands?

Just hoping it stays dry on the 29th August - and preferrably not too windy either, as I'm running a half-marathon at Fleetwood!  bit exposed if the weatehr's naff lol :-)

I've had an ace two-and-a-bit weeks covering for Juls on UCB UK - now being Craig for a few days on Inspirational, before changing to Anne for a fortnight ... Mrs Henderson says I have to wear a kilt, but don't think I've got the knees for it :-/

Hmmm, got that Cliff track stuck in my head!  Probably because we've been using it as a theme tune for our "Festivals and Events" thing on Paul Hammond's show ;-)

Speaking of which - I'm on UCB UK this week and next!  Filling in for Juls, who actually IS off on a summer holiday.  We're having a ball - well, I am, anyway lol.  Why not drop by, 7pm till midnight?  The brainteaser's just after 9 and we're doing crosswords.

Off running today for the second time in my new trainers - bit nervous, as they felt a bit tight last time... anyway, good weather for it.

Last night I thought it'd be a good idea to join in the running club time-trial.  Hmmmm.  We do some strange things for "enjoyment" don't we?  My leg keeps on clicking today! 

Still, at least the weather's a bit cooler today... was in Oxford seeing a mate at the weekend, and it was baking hot!  We spent most of the time sitting in Christ Church meadows, and even that was tiring :-)

Hmmm, my legs seem to be a tad sore today - but then, that's what you get for legging it over gravel tracks through woodlands!  I was running in the aptly-named "Milford Murder" race yesterday.  Only 5 miles, but phew!  Was glad to sit down after :-)

It's almost the weekend - any plans?  My housemate moves out in just over a week, so trying to tie up any loose ends.  Hey, exciting times are ahead next week though.  There's a brand new comp coming on Inspirational.  From Monday, you'll get the chance to win tickets to the Passion play in a famous town in Germany...
