Kiaora (It's kiwi for hello),

When I first learnt to drive (all those years ago) there were no cellphones, blackberries, I-pods, in fact my first car didn't even have a stereo!! Just me and the road...no distractions!

According to a recent survey, young drivers (ages 18 to 24) reported having engaged most often in distracting activity while driving.

Here's what they've been up to while driving:

·     62% eating

·     71% cell phone calls

·     24% sending text messages

·     8% applying makeup

·     8% changing clothes

CHANGING CLOTHES!! No wonder there are more accidents on the roads these days!

It's not just driving though. Our lives are much more complicated than they've ever been. Ironic really when you consider that all this technology is supposed to make things easier.

We've got thousands of things vying for our precious time and it's easy to get distracted... just a reminder to keep focused on the right stuff and make time for what really matters.

Looking forward to going to the winner’s house to deliver the Virtual Bookcase…not long now!!

Take care,

Luke

Kiaora (it's Kiwi for hello),

I haven't blogged for a while now....apologies!

We went to see Oliver on the West End, starring Rowan Atkinson. It was fabulous!

Rowan Atkinson made the character of Fagan his own and added hilarious moments, as only he could. It was like watching a blend of Oliver and Mr Bean! Well worth it if you can get tickets and in London.

The Virtual Bookcase is well underway now and we’re looking forward to coming to your house to broadcast a radio show…make sure you’re in the draw!!

Good times,

Luke

Raspberries!

Kiaora (that's kiwi for hello),

Hope all is well!

I love it when people (much more intelligent than most of us) discover something new about the universe in which we live.

Scientists were recently testing a giant dust cloud at the heart of the Milky Way and say it might taste of raspberries!!! I'm not even kidding. They were searching for evidence of amino acids, failed to locate any but did find ethyl formate - the chemical responsible for the flavour of raspberries.

What a crazy thought, you could be travelling through the galaxy (as you do), wind the window of your space-ship down and grab a handful of berry tasting Milky Way!

Just another bit of evidence that makes God even more massive, and shrinks us into even tinier insignificance....yet we're not insignificant to Him...far from it!!

 Kiaora (It's kiwi for hello),

We're approaching Easter and I have rediscovered the delights of hot cross buns. Of course hot cross buns are marked with a glazed cross that reminds us of Jesus and his sacrifice for us....that, combined with the fact that they taste so very good, makes them one of my favs!

If you're brave enought to try making your own, you can give this recipe a try...

Enjoy,
